We decided the first thing we would do is have all of the walls in the house painted white. According to Jörg, "there is only one white" in Europe, so there was no choice of color. I think he just said that in order to avoid having a conversation with me. In America we have options: Dove White, Pure White, Super White, Cottage White, Antique White... I guess I'm going to have to get used to not having choices in life.
At any rate this is the chimney breast in the front bedroom before and after our contractor painted. There was some old water damage from a leak that Jörg assured me was repaired long ago. Already feeling better about things!
